I've recently switched from PC to Mac, so have some questions.

I've got iTunes on our iMac going with your main account, but
recently I created a new account on the same computer and
would like if possible for the iTunes application to be the
same on both accounts.

Is there a way to do this?

Also were is a good manual for iTunes?

Are there any sites that give details on the internal of iTunes?

Why do you have 2 accounts? Admin account in OSX is secure; you don't need a non-admin account.

Mostly to have different applications on the dock. The new account is the "dev" account, and has XCode, NetBean, and other programming tools.

The other account is general purpose. I'm thinking about making one for the kids to separate homework from games etc ...

Like I've said before we are new to the Mac, but this seems like a good way to customize which applications appear on the dock.

Ah... So the method I've been using for so long appears to be an Apple-sanctioned way of sharing 1 music source between 2 accounts on the same Mac. That support article describes how my music is shared between my account and my girlfriends'. It allows us to rate songs independently and have different playlists kept separate.

It's a shame there's not a better implementation (eg. automatic and with preferences available in iTunes) that would avoid the permissions issues I repeatedly run into.
