Minor issue with trash icon not "emptying" in dock

The thread title pretty much lays it out right there. I tried the sudo killall Dock but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

Not to sound condescending, but did you try a restart then try to empty the trash?

I was gonna suggest a restart too. What's the sudo thingy then?

Try

sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash

Have you tried a 'Secure Empty Trash'?
