Any sites offering comparisons between the latest one and the one it just replaced?

hey thanks for that link. Kodawarisan rocks! :D i always love it when they get their hands on new hardware. :D
also, this would probably be more suited more to the General Mac forum. i don't really know what this has to do with buying a Mac... i know i wouldn't buy that off them. :p

When deciding where to post this thread, I figured that this would be a good place for two reasons.
1) More people would see it and read it here.
2) Potential buyers might be curious to see the innards before laying out their hard earned cash for it.

Actually, I think it's thinner... 1.18 inches.. Or maybe that's the same, I can't remember if the first two revisions were 1.25 or 1.18

all 3 generations of 12" PowerBook are identical in all exterior dimensions, including 1.18 inches of thickness.

Can someone confirm what cables/connectors you get with a new 15/17?
S-video?

According to this chart (http://www.apple.com/powerbook/specs.html) on Apple's site, the 15" and 17" include:
S-video to composite adapter, DVI to VGA adapter
Modem cable, power adapter, AC wall plug, power cord

The 1.33ghz 12" probably looks bigger becuase of the camera perspective.

that and the reflection of the camera flash. the gray plastic edge on one sort of matches the aluminum, whereas on the other one shows a contrast between the plastic and aluminum.

Ok, thanks. Wish they also bundled the DVI connector for the Apple screens.

Yeah, that would be nice... those things are expensive.
Won't matter to me much though since I have a Hitachi 17" LCD that works great (and was much less expensive than Apple's monitors). ;)
