I was trawling through my collection of movies, and I came across one particular video that would crash VLC every time I open it. Opening it with quicktime would play the video, but there's no audio. I tried extracting it and playing the audio through as many players as possible (VLC still crashes, Niceplayer no sound either).

But I know that that particular video worked perfect back when I first acquired it, maybe at least a year ago. I'm thinking it might be an updated version of Perian or quicktime that may have broken it.

Vitals: AAC, 5.1 (C L R Ls Rs LFE), 48000 kHz, Perian 1.1.3, Latest VLC, QT 7.6.

I might take it to an older PPC I have to see if that can play it.

Any thoughts?
