Hi I just got my iphone 3G couple days ago with an upgrade (my old phone) from the AT&T store and realized that the phone was previous used and sold to me as a new phone, I also heard that there will be an announcement of a new iPhone, so I've decided to wait for that one. My question is if I can go back tomorrow and cancel the upgrade and return the phone w/o any problem and then upgrade my phone when the new iPhone is out.

Thanks

Why not just ask AT&T?

Why not just ask AT&T?

I want to hear some knowledged facts from this forum before I go to the AT&T store or call the customer service... They'll prob tell me some BS that I can't cancel..etc.

I work for Verizon Wireless, and I know they have a 30 day "worry free guarantee" time frame that as long as you return the phone within the first month you can cancel service and return the phone with no problems. I'm assuming that AT&T is going to have a similar policy. You should call customer care, they will give you a definitive answer (I work for customer service). :)

Yes, you can. I did it.

You have to be at the exact store you purchased the phone to get your contract back to its original state (otherwise you could return to the phone to any AT&T store).

I'm at a loss to understand why you don't take the advice given thread 25-28 etc of this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=698509) thread?

cool! Do you know if AT&T will still add the $18 upgrade fees and $30 data plan to the 1st billing cycle after I cancel the upgrade? Thanks.
