how to jailbreak iPhone 3g with 2.2.1

just got an iPhone 2 days ago i accidently restored/updated it to the 2.2.1 then i found out about jailbreaking and I wanted to do it, i researched some and im getting something like i must downgrade it to 2.2 using an app that u get from cydia called BBdowngrade but how do i do that when my phone isnt even jailbroken!?? can i jail break it with the 2.2.1 ? if so please tell me how, im new at this, your help will be greatly appreciated.

You are already on 2.2.1, if you want to easily jailbreak your phone all you have to do is download/run QuickPwn. Do you need to unlock your iPhone 3G? If not, there is no point in wasting your time with BBdowngrader. 🙂
