After listening to Nickel Creeks smoothie song I have really fallen in love with the Bluegrass style of music. Can anyone name anygood bands for me? I would really like them to be somewhat instramental because I am not a big on singing person unless someones voice is really cool. Well thanks.

Start with the master: Bill Monroe. The Del McCoury Band and Ricky Scaggs are good places to go also. As for mostly instrumentals you have to hunt for those in the genre.

Allison Krauss and Union Station Live is a good CD.
Also, I suggest checking out your local library, they may have a few CDs to preview and get an idea of what you like. I just found O SISTER! The Women's Bluegrass Collection there and am checking it out.

The absolute best bluegrass track is "I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow" on the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack. There two versions on the CD: one that is just guitar and vocals, and one with the whole bluegrass band. The vocals are great and everything. Just a great song and a wonderful introduction to bluegrass.

I see you said you heard Nickel Creek's smoothie song - pretty much across the board that band is incredible. Not only is their music fun, energetic, and technically incredible, the age of the players is really wild. If I'm not mistaken, the oldest of the group just turned 21 this past year (excluding their rotating bass player).
I whole-heartedly recommend any and all of their albums. As I said before, I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

iTunes has a compilation of bluegrass #1's, a few good cd's:
-Down From The Mountain: Live Concert Performances By The Artists & Musicians Of "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"
-O Sister! - The Women's Bluegrass Collection
-Blue Trail Of Sorrow - 16 Bluegrass Gems
and also check out Grateful Dawg, Old and In The Way - David Grisman and Jerry Garcia
and def. Allison Krauss and Union Station
