iSight light randomly turning on

So for the past few weeks, the little green light has gone off at random times. It creeps me out, feels like I'm being watched. Anyway, I put a little piece of post it to cover up the camera so I won't be so paranoid.

Can't seem to find out what the problem is. I already did an SMC reset and the problem still persists.

Anybody have any idea?:confused:

You could take it in, it might be a hardware problem. I kinda have a feeling it is software related, can you reinstall the OS?

ok. updated to 10.5.7 and still doing the same thing.

It's an annoying problem but I don't know if I'm willing to drive 40 miles and wait for however long it'll be taken in.

idk maybe I'll sell it, I've been wanting to upgrade to 2.4mhz.

Have you looked at Activity Monitor to make sure there isn't some rogue program in the background you don't recognize?

:) It's probably just a small glitch or problem. It happened to me when I installed OS X 10.5.7, So it should just be a software problem although it could be malware make sure you didn't install a virus. DONT USE LIMEWIRE OR TORRENTS! :apple:
