So what are peoples estimates and expectations on Intel i5 based CPU's arriving in Macbooks soon?

Core i5 (codenamed Lynnfield)[1] is an upcoming family of Intel desktop x86-64 microprocessors. It is scheduled to be released in the third quarter of 2009[2] using the Intel Nehalem microarchitecture and is a mainstream variant to the Intel Core i7 family.[2] Core i5 microprocessors will feature an integrated dual-channel DDR3 memory controller,[2] integrated PCI-Express graphics controller and Direct Media Interface controller for communication with Intel P55 (Ibexpeak) chipset.[3]

Oh dear, nvidia wont like that.

Please search - there are several Arrandale / Clarksfield threads already.

If you're talking MB and MBA - why are you talking about
Lynnfield) - which if you read what you'd cut from wiki
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core_i5
then you'd see is an upcoming family of Intel desktop microprocessors.

This thread is useless, as the i5 chips are desktop chips.
