free songs this week suck so far

has anyone noticed that the songs apple has given away so far have been really bad? my hero by foo fighters was overplayed like crazy a few years back and avril lavigne never was good in my opinion. now courtney love today? she can't even sing. the song is just bad.

I agree with you about the foo fighters and courtney love, but avril lavigne surprised me. I might actually buy some of her songs one of these days.

Simply because you don't like the songs doesn't mean they suck. I'd be interested to see what songs you would have picked. My guess is that someone else on this board would say those ones sucked too. Then again IMO I think most of todays "music" lacks alot of actual musical content anyway. To each his own.

I never found much in the iTunes Sampler that I liked but I would bet that everyone found something.

I agree with you about the Courtney Love track, but to fair the Foo Fighters are a quality band, was very pleased to see My Hero available for free. Unfortunately I can't download any of them as I live outside the US, ah well; c'est la vie!

I thought I was supposed to hate Avriil, but the freebie is okay. Any evidence that "Sk8r boi" ever existed still must be destroyed though.

I thought the one by Annie Lennox was good, but I disliked most of the remaining ones (especially Avril, but that's because I hate her guts anyway). I was hoping maybe they would put some old hits, like Michael Jackson, led zeppelin, something that is not on high demand right now but that everyone knows about it.

Avril is ok, just getting the Jane's Addiction one now.

Why can't regular people just come out of the closet as Avril Lavigne fans? Are you afraid we won't think you're cool if you just say you like the song? How can you like it AND think it sucks?? i have her album, both her iTunes EPs and am getting her new one in May. I'm a 20 year old male at Syracuse University. i said it, why can't you? I like Avril Lavigne.
