iChat will not connect to the internet, but all my other applications do!

So I have been having this problem with my iChat everytime I come home from school. It was never a problem before I left for school, or when I was at school, but now that I am back home, I keep getting the same message when I try to log in, which is something like "could not connect to AIM, you have tried to log in too many times, please try again later." I have tried, restarting, logging out and then back in, restarting the internet modem, and nothing works!
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you ever check out the router settings to make sure the AIM connection port isn't blocked?

AIM uses port 5190

Also, I don't recall if iChat allows, but in AIM (on the PC), you could tell it to try using a different port, and on occasion, port 80 will work (that's the standard HTTP connection port).
