Attaching photo files in Apple Mail

When I attempt to attach a file of a photo into Apple Mail I get the image instead of a file. I googled this and the suggestion about right-clicking in photo browser did not work.

Any suggestions?

Image is file

How do I get rid of the image so just the file remains as an attachment?

Photo as file

OK - I figured out what the google answer was saying. Right click on the image that is appearing in Apple Mail and choose the Show as Icon choice. Voila - image now become file.
