View Full Version : Did anyone else misunderstand the Pepsi deadline?

The "enter code" page in the iTMS just said that codes had to be entered by 4/30. I also remember seeing the word "redeem" somewhere when I first entered a code. To me, it wasn't clear that I had to actually download songs with the credits by 4/30.

So, anyway, I lost 23 credits because I hadn't used them by this morning. I am a little upset because it would have been very easy for them to make it completely clear and unambiguous. But they chose not to and I am a little upset.

Did anyone else lose credits due to this misunderstanding?

Following the philosophy of "don't get mad, get even" I visited AllOfMP3.com today. I downloaded Evanescene - Fallen at 320Kb AAC for a little over $2. It's not quite as friendly as iTMS but the price is better, the download options are better, and they have music iTMS doesn't (including a lot of Russian music that my fiancee will love!!). I give it a big thumbs up!!

They didn't make it obvious, but I read the contest details to make sure I knew the deadline. The promotion ended at midnight last night, but that was Eastern time, so I made sure to finish by 9pm, because I'm in Pacific time. I saw in the rules that you had to use the codes and download the music by the deadline.

It was clearly stated that there was a limit of 10 code redemptions per day, but it didn't say when the day started/ended, which made it a little awkward for me the last few evenings, as I cashed in 25 caps I had left. I didn't know if the day ended at midnight or 9pm for me. It was my fault to wait until the last minute, and I ended up giving a few codes away to friends when I was over my quota.

I downloaded my last credit at 11:58 on the 30th. I'm in the Central timezone (1 am EST) so I don't think it really ended at their midnight. I did misunderstand the date it all had to be in. I thought "By 4/30" meant before "4/30." Thankfully, I was wrong.

Or, IF you guys had read you MacAddict, you also wouldn't have this problem.

Originally, though, I thought that you had to turn in all your codes by March 31.

My last download from the store was on April 30: Bleed For Me by Saliva. Nice rock song.
