Does anyone know - from experience - whether these cd-rom sizes are safe with slot-loading drives? Too afraid to try to experiment, and I don't have the patience to navigate support.apple.com.

Thanks.

dear god! I put in a mini CD and it killed my DVD player, i actually had to replace the slot loading DVD player on my own, whatever you do, do NOT put a mini DVD in a Dv+ slot loading Imac...or Powerbook for that matter.

But you can try to hook up a USB or Firewire CD-RW drive to work with this...

no. only tray loading drives will work with these cds. you will break your slot loading drive by placing this cd in. think about...how would you know it's centered? tray drives only.

Well, I've used mini CD's many times in my iMac DV SE (graphite). It's the DVD-ROM version. I've never had a problem. I know you cannot put mini CD's in PowerBooks though.
