ePSXe for Mac does not launch

I found that ePSXe had been ported to Macs using X11.

However, after installing he included X11 build, ePSXe does not launch for me. Prior to trying ePSXe, I did have DarWine installed and the Windows version of uTorrent still runs fine with my current install of X11/DarWine. Could DarWine be the culprit?
