Quick dent question

Theres a small dent on the back of my MacBook (back of the display) and I'm wondering if I could get it fixed because it's beginning to really piss me off.

Would it be easy to get it fixed, how much would it cost?
 
Probably free if you're macbook is still under warranty or applecare, try visiting an apple store and tell them about it.

Would they be able to fix it in store? I'll take a photo in a sec and show the minor damage, I've just got an OCD for these things. 😱
 
I think it's $200-$300 to replace the back from iFixit and like $500 from Apple. Just let it go. I do understand, as my iPhone got a small little scratch on the screen because someone "playfully" 🙄 tripped me today, sending my iPhone to the floor. I have always cringed at the little things, especially the infinitesimal imperfections, but it is a thing I need to get over. I too have OCD about it.

My window on *oh god no* at the tiniest mark to *meh* is usually about six months on most products.

Theres the dent aha. Can hardly see it on that pic though.
 
yeah u can see the little dimple on that pic a bit. I dont think you'll be able to fix any dents on the aluminums.

Good luck with that.

Accidental damage isn't covered, and many people will be hard-pressed to prove they didn't cause the dent.

i'm an ocdish perfectionist as well...makes me think, were us humans always like this, or are they pumping stuff in our water supply?
 
Finally a use for the sticker they give you with it. Slap it on and be done with it.

My window for obsessing on these things is about the first four weeks of ownership.

It really only adds character and proves it is yours.
 
Some months ago my friend was having all kinds of trouble with his previous-gen 15" MBP...the iSight camera would intermittently quit working and the display would also go black for a few seconds and come back on. Apple fixed it by replacing the whole "lid", which also fixed the rather large dent in the top he'd made by dropping his camera on it. 😎
