Converted DVD won't play on Macbook

Hello,

I recently converted a few VHS tapes to DVD using a Samsung VHS/DVD combo deck found here (http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-DVD-VR375-1080p-Up-Converting-Recorder/dp/B0015ADR1I/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top)

But the finished product will not play on my Macbook (2.0ghz unibody) or my Sony DVD player. Is there anything I can do about that?

Edit: When i put it into my macbook it reads as blank disc but the Samsung it was converted on will read it fine

Have you finalized the DVD?

A DVD needs to be finalized, meaning no more data (video, ...) can be written to it and a Table of contents will be created, so that DVD players know, where to look for the DVD Menu and the DVD video.

ah, I didn't think of that. I figured it auto finalized but i'll double check. thanks
