My primary email is my alumni account from college, which is setup on an exchange server. I sync only email through it, no contacts or calendars. When creating a new email, I click on the "to" area and start typing the contacts name. It initially gives me only my local contacts, but if I am not fast enough at selecting them, then it starts listing everybody in the exchange server that match the name (so a few thousand university students).

I want to know if there is any way to disable this, so that it only lists local contacts?
