View Full Version : iphone o2/warrarenty question

hi, to keep it simple. i had a perfect iphone, worked great, still underwarranty. damaged the phones glass/lcd by ACCIDENT, so i couldnt have it repaired, so i "repaired" it myself, however the part i bought was faulty. (touch screen not responsive) so my mum took it down to the o2 shop and said that i had dropped it and the touch screen wasnt working anymore. the phone looked brand new with its replaced glass/lcd. so they took it, and now have sent it off somewhere, im guessing apple repair facility or something. the thing is, as soon as they open my iphone, they will see that i have installed a brand new glass panel/digitizer and lcd display. therefore making my warranty void. what will happen? will they just simple send it back to o2 shop? or will they fix it for a fee?
