(In the voice of Jerry Seinfield) "What's the deal with all of the Palm Pre ad's on Mac Rumors?"
Did you guys get a kings ransom for those? If so I don't blame you.

Well they are probably paying a lot of money to google for placement, but it's a complete failure. Those who have iPhone are unlikely to switch. Those who are going to get it are probably going to get it, probably going to return it, and get iPhones. =p
MR probably don't choose the ads, except to exclude certain bad ones.

Why does it matter? The owner of the site doesn't owe any loyalty to Apple. Advertising here is fair game as far as I'm concerned.

Please see this section (http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:MacRumors_FAQ#Why_do_I_see_a_certain_ad_at_MacRumors.3F) of our FAQ for details...we do not select the individual ads that appear on the site. Palm obviously wanted to target tech sites, so they ended up in our rotation.

Considering the fact that you can get one with unlimited texting for like $30 less then an iPhone per month, I'm highly considering getting one. The ads got me!
