Ipod Touch Screen Broken

Hey, this afternoon while walking home, my Ipod touch 8gb 1st gen fell out of my pocket. It hit the ground and the screen broke. Theres like five lines from the cracks. It still works for the most part, but i did notice it not as responsive in some areas. Is there anyway I can get a new screen or iPod? or do i need to buy a whole new one?!?!?!? Please help....

If your warranty hasn't run out, take it to an Apple store. They might be able to replace it.

If it has run out, go to an Apple authorized retailer to get it fixed maybe for a lower price.
