I have been given an Apple cinema HD display, but cant figure out if it is possible to unplug the power cable from the back of it?
I have given it a pull but nothing happened and I don't want to pull it to hard for fear of damaging it.

Is it possible or not?

Thanks.

NO! The cable doesn't physically detach without dismantling the unit.
Is there a reason you want to detach it?

If you are talking about the 24" Cinema display, you can unplug the power cable that goes from the monitor to the wall for power. You CAN'T unplug the cable that contains the USB, MiniDisplay Port and MB/MBP power adapter.
