My job demands that I have to type in tons of text.
Not all of this text is English. Actually, it's mainly Greek, Russian, Turkish, etc. KeyCaps was an EXCELLENT utility that allowed me to find "hidden"
characters (ie: é, à, û, ®, ™, ©, etc.). I've abviously memorized these,
but I've got some greek that needs retyping, and Panther's Font Book is
of no use to me. (unless I'm missing something). What the $@#* happenend my %$#^& KeyCaps? and if it's gone, any recommendations?

Key Caps is still here, Apple just decided to hide it from you. (Don't ask me why...)
It can be found at:
Macintosh HD
System
Library
Components
KeyboardViewer.component
Contents
SharedSupport
KeyboardViewerServer.app
That's where it is on my iBook. I have Mac OS 10.3

Sys prefs, international menu, input menu, check "keyboard viewer". Then, at bottom left, check show input menu in menu bar.

I never quite understood the point of keycaps. Seems like such a useless program.

Its actually quite useful if you ever need to find the copyright symbol, or you have to type in Spanish on an English KB.
