If you use the Airport Utility program on your Mac to connect to the Express, if you do a Manual Setup, the first screen should show you the connected clients. If you click on that, it should show the signal strength for each client connected to it.

the express end, in airport utility, go to advanced, then click "logs and statistics" then "wireless clients"

I think from memory it's the logging / snmp tab (sorry not at computer)

gives signal strength, interference etc.....
