so i decided to open my macbook...and low and behold the screen is perfect...

BUT...as i looked closer - right near the center of the screen is a pear shaped light grey!!!! wth is this? its about half the size of penny. i figured it was maybe from the screen protector so i tried cleaning it off - it wont come off!!! please help me! its not a dead pixel...

its not directly center...more towards the bottom. its REALLY REALLY bothering me! i am hoping it will go away...i keep trying to clean the screen..hoping it will go away...

UGH!

sadly i dont have a camera...the best description i can give is like a light grey blotch....

Is it an image on the screen or something physically stuck to/marking the glass? Try all the usuals, restart reset PRAM, repair permissions....

Have you tried restarting just to see if it does anything?

i did...

this is enough to make a grown man cry...perfect screen - and friggin THIS GREY BLOTCH starring at me...someone make it go away!!!!!! T_T

it goes away...when there is a color other than white or grey in that area....

what is it!?!

If its something pysically on the screen like grease or dirt or whatever try using some VERY VERY dilute mild detergent on a damp cloth...if its a unibody then windex or windolene may work!

i used eye glass cleaner, diluted cleaning, turning off the lights, covered my hand behind the screen, restarting the computer...its still there!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

So I called Apple and they said I should take it back...but, couldn't tell me what it was...

LAME LAME LAME LAME!

...watch, when I go there - "AAFES rep: Oh, I'm sorry we are sold out."

i have the crappiest luck this week.
