I have a 12" 1 Ghz rev b powerbook G4. I have on it a 40 GB HD, 512 MB of ram, an airport extreme card, and an optical drive. Love it, I only have one regret, that I should of waited the 4 extra months to get he rev c's. But, there is nothing that I don't like about apple, mac, and powerbook.

Just ordered a 1.5 Ghz 15" PB with 128MB video RAM, 5200RPM HD and 512MB RAM (1 DIMM). It will be my return to the Mac world after a few years break using a PC. Hope this baby doesn't take too long to get here!!

Anyone order their machine with the same spec (it seems popular) and received theirs? How long did it take from order to landing on your doorstep?

15" 1.33 ghz PB, combo drive. throwing 1 gig in it tomorrow so we'll see how she runs. Hopefully runs Pro Tools a bit better than my dual 500 gigabit g4. If not, keep your eyes on the classifieds!

I got an ibook 933 and was going to sell it and get a G5, but deciced to stick withthe ibook. I did sell it and upgrade it to a 1G - and decided against a PB - will wait until a G5 laptop.
I did upgrade the HD to a 7200 RPM drive - can't say I see much difference...

A 'furbie 800Mhz G3, 128MB, 30GB, plain-jane cd-rom drive. What? No combo drive? No super-drive? Hey! You can't beat a $650 refurb deal like this! Not with a long stick....

Absolutely nothing recently. Last year: PB 12" Rev A SD, JBL Creatures, Epson S1 projector, lots of software. Thinking about getting a monitor, probably just an inexpensive 17" CRT. Love the 12" PB, but my eyes aren't getting any younger or stronger.

First I got a 2nd hand B&W G3 300 stacked it with ram and drives, even bluit-in a 48x CD-RW
then I got a 2nd hand Ti-Book G4 400 w airport 1GB ram dvd-rom 20GB HD, LaCie 80GB FireWire D2 & LaCie FireWire D2 CD-RW, BT keyboard and MS BT mouse

sold the B&W to get a 30GB iPod

Ti-Book got stolen last month and replaced it with my new 2x1.8Ghz G5

I'll sell the LaCie CD-RW because of my new superdrive

I'll keep the BT desktop for now (especially the mouse -> wheel & extra buttons for exposé use)

maybe later I'll replace the 2 'old' CRT's with 2 19" or 22" LaCie CRT's (still the best for color view) or get 1 LaCie as main screen and a cheap 17" TFT as second screen... don't know yet, I'll first need to find the money ;-)

awaiting Tiger & hoping on extra performance boosting with 64bit tech for G5

maybe I'll get a 12" iBook to be portable again too
