Today i tried to watch my Slingplayer on 3g and it would not connect. It would give me an error that said check and see if your phone and Slingplayer are connected to the internet.

It has worked every other time i tried to use it over 3g. I haven't made any changes in terms of firmware that would cause this.

Can anyone who was using their sling over 3g verify if it is still working and does anyone have any ideas as to what may be happening for me?

Everything still works fine here.
Try to reset/restart your slingbox and your modem at home to see if that fixes it.
Does it work over wifi?
 
Mine is working fine here as well. Try it at home over wifi and then go through the set up for remote viewing on your slingbox.

I find I have to reset that every so often anyway.
