Swapping Hard Drive from Aluminum Macbook to New Whitebook?

I currently have a 320gb Hard Drive in the New Aluminum Macbook and Will be switching to a New Whitebook. My question is can I just take out the 320gb and swap it into the New Whitebook?

I am fairly certain both are Serial ATA drives so, yes.

The 320 is a 7200 rpm drive. Will this be ok? Also, in the question I should have included can I just swap it out without reformatting anything?

It should still work regardless. I would recommend making a backup with time machine, and then swapping out the hard drives, and do a fresh install of the OS, and then restore from the time machine backup.
