I'm moving my stuff to a different server, I have access to the old. I'm trying to backup the mysql database and restore it on cpanel, but I'm having a lot of issues. It's a moveable type database if that makes any difference. Any suggestions?

You should have access to phpMyAdmin through cpanel which gives you a pretty simple export/import feature that will save a .SQL file to your local machine.
Let us know if you don't that or if you need help with it.

That seems to have worked. I used phpmyadmin to import to database and now it recognizes the various fields in the database. I'm still getting the same error as before though, internal server error. All the settings should be the same as they were before, so I'm not sure what's going on. I'll mess around with the moveable type configuration files next and see if I can come up with anything.

All better now. I had to change the permissions on all the cgi files to 755.
