Maybe more people should read "Treason" by Ann Coulter.

... and then read "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them" by Al Franken. Turns out Ms. Coulter has told her share.

except Moore does not lie in the film. He admits he is biased but so far no one has found any lies or wrong facts in the movie. Bush and Cheney have lied about a lot of things. It's too bad we can't sue them.

But there is a more powerful message that voters can send. Vote the ones that feel are lying and cheating out of office. And that goes for both sides of the aisle. Don't get caught up in your party's rhetoric. Don't buy in to their well orchestrated news sound-bites. Don't buy in to the TV commercials that were financed by Big Money interests.

Being a voting member of the US carries the responsibility to do the research yourself. Not have it spooned fed by others to you.

To the Democrats that cry foul for the 200o election, it was just a few thousand votes in a handful of stats that allowed SCOTUS to give the election to Bush because of Florida.

To the Republicans that say Democrats are whiners since Bush won far and square. A few thousand votes in a handful of states would have given Bush a clear electoral college victory.

2004 is up to us, the people. Register to vote. Urge others to register. AND[ then vote! Remember that this November is just not who will occupy the office of President. There are congressional and senate seats up too. There may even be local elections up for grabs in your area.

Why can't we sue them?

Those who match that criteria aren't stupid enough to run for office. :(

Unfortunately that may be true...

Only because we continue to vote the ones in that have the most airtime. No one seems to take the time to see who is actually running any more. And don't forget no one wants to back a loser.

I remember back in the Carter/Reagan/Anderson race. People that I spoke with were not happy with either Carter or Reagan. When asked about Anderson, "oh, I really liked him". Then why did you not vote for him? "Because he didn't stand a chance of winning".

My mother or father did. I don't remember which. I was 10 at the time. THey never put on bumperstickers or signs on the front lawn. They didn't even tell each other who they were voting for or discuss why they were voting. But I remember that neither voted for Reagan. Perhaps it was because of him being divorced and remarried. I'm not sure what happen in 1984. They never talked about it. hmmmm... kind of like sex ;)

I didn't IJ, but I was interested to see, as I was searching the web on political reform issues, to see his name associated with the Center for Voting and Democracy (http://www.fairvote.org/about_us/anderson.htm). I didn't know he was still active.

Thanks for the link. Anderson is still a stand-up guy. His commentary supporting instant run-off elections was very interesting.
