Iphone frozen

I don't know what happened to it. But it's frozen on the "Enter Passcode" screen. And I usually need a passcode entry when its 4 hours or more that I don't use my phone. However, this time, the keypad to enter my password shows up, but when I press the numbers, it won't respond. I've tried restarting it, but it just ends up happening again. I can't even turn it off.

My iphone is the 1st generation one. It's 4 GB. It has a 2.0 update on it. And it is jailbroken.

Get rid of the jailbreak and do a restore. If it's still happening, take it to Apple.

Hold down the sleep and home buttons until the phone turns off, and then it should be fine. :)
