View Full Version : OWC Pioneer internal DVD drive, same model as apples?

Hi, I'm wondering if this drive here (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Pioneer/DVR117DBK/) from OWC is the same model as the one that came with the 08 Mac Pro, or if it is an improved one.

No, The 08 mac pro came with the pioneer 12d. This drive from owc is very nice. I have one in my 08 mac pro. Pioneer drives have always played nice with macs as far back as I can remember.

I have 2 of those, 1 in me mac, and one with an external adapter dongle that I use with me peecee lappy, neveranottaproblemo :eek:
