Deleting from Hard drive permantly???

How do you delete applications from your Mac harddrive? I downloaded Yahoo messenger on accident and I dont want it on there. Thanks for your help.
 
Drag it to the trash. 😉 Or you can use an application to remove all traces of files related to the application. Use something like "AppCleaner".
 
several applications have an uninstall option in the dmg file. also, you can use appzapper to use remove applications and all of their related files.
