The dark areas make reading a little bit impossible, and the grey sidebar would be a step back to the nineties.
They will possibly keep it in the already present colour scheme.

Also what does the HDD icon mean on the bottom of the Finder?

It was a new feature introduced with Leopard.

Sure?

Wasn't there a way tho show the current path in Finder before Leopard?

I seem to vaguely remember such feature, but it was a long time ago since I used it.

I'm getting to old for this clot.

Yes, that may be it.

Thanks for clarifying that. It's over 18 months now since I stopped using Tiger, except at work, so what the hell.

Back to the topic.

Sorry Jongewehr for hijacking it.

But shouldn't that Path Bar point to Macintosh HD (or whatever volume a user is on) > Users > user ?

I don't see any difference between this "mockup" and the current finder from OS 10.5, except that this one is hideously ugly. It looks akin to what leopard would look like if run in CGA 64-color mode, with 6 glorious bits of video fun.

Reminds me of the Hi-Tech theme for OS 9.

I really dislike it a lot. It is too dark for me. And the blue doesn't go with it at all.

It is "flat," unlike the current one which looks a bit rounded.

Rather than messing around with colour schemes, Apple need to find a good way of exposing the power of spotlight to make our lives easier.

Sort of like leap but with better performance.

Searching is a mess at the moment, yet it could be easy and instantaneous.
