Will WWDC be on TV or be played live on the internet or anything? Or do you just have to wait until it is posted on the iTunes store?

The most likely scenario is that Apple will post a QT stream of the Keynote after the Keynote is done.

The only live coverage will be by text.

And no TV coverage, it is not that important and would be a little bit expensive using a satellite for sending the video to a network, even though a lot of crap is send over the airwaves today.

You wait. Someone tried one year, but it's... not exactly legal.

Both Engadget and Gizmodo usually have minute-by-minute picture+text updates.

Usually a good 5-6 hours after the event.

Legal? Sure it is. Apple isn't the law. It'd still be a nightmare anyway for anyone that attempted it.

As the conference is held at a private place the owner has the right to allow or forbid photographing or filming. So does Apple as the leaser of that please at that time.

Also there is information at Apple's website:

May I photograph or videotape keynotes or sessions?
Videotaping, audiotaping, and photographing of WWDC presentations without the prior written consent of an authorized Apple representative in each instance is expressly prohibited.

PS: I like your signature and reference to one of the greatest TV game shows never made.

Well, all they can do is kick you out. Breaking the actual law usually results in more than someone telling you to go away.

That's wordwang!

....

Of course, that's all they can do, but what would be the point then, paying 1000$ or more to attend that conference and then be thrown out just for filming something, that can be seen just hours later.

But whatever, thats's all wordwanging too.

PS: "that's" and "wordwanging" were just underlined with the red spell check line, and now they are not anymore. I can understand "that's", as it seems to be of proper spelling, but "wordwanging" - ah, just the first instance in this post is underlined, but not the next too, strange?

Off to greener mattresses now...
