Did anyone else catch the news special tonight with the "unprecedented access" to the White House and Obama's team? For those not in the U.S., it's a special prime time news feature that airs over two nights and sort of lets you see what the daily runnings are of Obama and his team.

I found it to be very interesting and so flipping refreshing. Nice to see him out ordering up burgers. If you didn't get a chance to see the first episode..here's a link

So this is the payoff for their slanted coverage during the primaries and election?

Actually the title the OP used is so fitting... I am their logo isn't on the Presidential Seal yet..

But if McCain had won and Fox was doing something similar, they would be fair and balanced.

Correct. I wasn't trying to imply that Obama was in some way special in his allowance of this interview–as other administrations before have been a part of this tradition. Just thought it was interesting to see a bit behind the scenes and some less reserved moments than we generally get in nightly media bits.

Oh, no, that wasn't a response to you, it was a response to whoever thought Obama was thanking NBC for their election coverage

The best part was on the Tonight Show with Conan.

Brian William's and Obama sit down in the same place in the white house and talk about the "transition" from Leno to Conan..Great comedy !!
