Post us your specs. It's likely that your MB was made 6 months ago, but it's still the newest model

Your mac sat on the shelf for a while before it was sold. Happens to everyone.

Coconut Battery says that my aluminum MacBook 2.4 is 125 months old (10.42 years) and I bought it in February '09. Good thing they have a long shelf life.

...from the title of the thread I thought you'd be complaining of buying a whitebook days before the silent refresh...

Does that mean his laptop will be the one with the older screen then?

What are you doing with it when it's unplugged? Watching videos and using programs that take up a lot of RAM will lower your battery faster. I usually get 3.5-4 hours on mine just browsing the internet, messaging and maybe watching a little YouTube.

thanks that most likely is the problem as i do tend to run many applications at once. Also when im at home i leave my macbook continuously plugged in, this wont damage the battery will it?
thanks

Just unplug it every week or two and let it run, that'll keep the battery in good shape.
