Hello all,

I am trying to connect my MacBook to a LCD HD TV. I have all the connections, Mini DVI to DVI to HDMI. Is there a setting on my MacBook that I need to change or enable to do this. Right now I am not getting any signal from my macbook when everything is connected. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FYI-I am trying to connect to a Sony Bravia if that matters.

Thanks in advance.

Peace

I'd get the mini display port to HDMI adapter from monoprice.com

But he doesn't have Mini DisplayPort. :p

I'd get the Mini DVI to HDMI (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10419&cs_id=1041912&p_id=4852&seq=1&format=2) adapter from monoprice.com. :D

so the connections themselves can prevent a signal from my macbook to the hd tv. These are the combination of connectors given to me by the apple store but I will take them back and go with you advice. Thanks for the help.

The connectors you have are fine. The issue may be with what resolution you're trying to output and what setting your TV is on.
