My battery was at 100%, but I unplugged it for about 15 minutes while I was still working and it was at 96%. I plugged it back in, but it won't charge. It says battery is charged instead of __ until charged. Why won't it charge, and why does it die so fast? Screen brightness is all the way down and I'm only using firefox and word.

The batteries in the MB won't charge when the computer is between 94-100%, it prevents excess wear on the Li-Ion cells.

It is working.
15 minutes and 4% charge capacity used for that time mean that you got 375 minutes with a full charge.
If you ask me, that's quite a well working battery.
Also, batteries don't always load to the fullest, there are some threads around here, that will explain why, as I'm not as fit with that subject.
So, enjoy you six and quarter hours of battery time.

Oh 6.25 hours! If only I was so lucky. I rarely have more than that open and I get about 4-5 hours. I hope it can make it through school in the fall. I scheduled my classes 4 hours in a row 3 days a week, 5 hours in a row one day a week, and 2 hours, not in a row one day a week.
