When rounded 2 + 2 = 5

X2-y2=xy-y2
(x+y)(x-y)=y(x-y)
X+y=y
2y=y
2=1
1=0
Therefore 2+2+0=5
1/3 = 0.33333333333333 ... multiply by 3
Therefore 3/3 = 0.9999999999999999999
1=0.9999999999999999... subtract 0.99999999...
0.000 1=0 divide by 0.000 1
1=0
Therefore 2+2+0=5

Is this for a class or something? I ask because wily responses such as allusions to Orwell or tying knotted rope may satisfy the terms you've given us, but may be wholly unacceptable for what you're trying to do.

obviously 1 and 3 are wrong. for the second one, if x = y, you can not divide each side by x-y, because you can not divide anything by 0.
