I LOVE this thing soo much! I bought my first mac today. The 2.4 MacBook. I'm loving every minute of it!!
I love Apple. Even the buying process was enjoyable. The gal was super fun and very helpful.
So far, I'm a very satisfied customer!

So I have 2-3 USB drives and now a NAS drive and none of them are back-ups, they all just have different data on them. I'm the kind of guy that bought Applecare with my first mac but then never again since and have been lucky. I've been lucky with hard drives... THEN within two weeks my friend tripped on my NAS (I had it out of its normal spot for a day to check something) and then accidently erased an entire USB drive by mistaking it for a flash drive that was also plugged in. Moral of the story, if you were like me and would laugh as/gloss over the people that would recommend this, I beg you to at the very least, strongly consider some kind of back-up option!
... and I almost forgot, congrats on the computer! Enjoy it!!

Congrats!!
For backup options you can either use a timecapsule (apple 500gb or 1tb backup options) or you can buy an external hard drive, or a hard drive + caddy... there are many options, and have fun!

Congratulations! I've had mine since october now (the 2.0 Ghz version of yours).
I have to admit it is a very lean, speedy, very useful machine. This is probably the best computer I've ever bought.
Oh – later you might want to upgrade your hard drive when yours is not enough anymore. I'll wait until 1tb goes into 2.5" (and then the 500gb and 320gb prices will drop), or wait until 512gb ssd is out =)

Thanks So much! Right now I'm copying all my media over to it.
I LOVE the backlit keyboard as well. When I first got it out in the light, I thought I was gypped and was given a 2.0 because it didn't look like it would be backlit, then I remembered ambient light sensor. :D Really nice as I type here in my dim room.
Oh, and I'm can't get enough of the trackpad. Usually I can't stand trackpads and need a mouse to make any use out of the computer, but the Glass Multitouch is PERFECTION! It's just as efficient as a mouse not to mention all the gestures.
And yes, it does smell new! lol.
i keep forgetting about my iPod Touch. lol I plugged it in to charge it and that was it. So far, I'm all Mac. :apple:
