I find it very awkward typing in with the small remote control the ATV comes with. Would have been nice to use that nice alu bluetooth keyboard with it.

Try the iphone or ipod touch. THe reason apple didn't make it because no one would use it, except for you maybe.

I don't think we know for certain whether BlueTooth hardware is in the Apple TV or not. Just because it isn't supported in software doesn't mean that the hardware isn't there. Take for example the USB port, the hardware is there but Apple doesn't support it in the standard Apple TV software.
