Hi everyone,

There is a PC show coming up this week here in Singapore and i am intending to buy a monitor for my aluminum macbook.

I'm looking at various widescreen monitors (16:10 or 16:9) made by Samsung that have really good specs (colour contrast, birghtness etc.) and have really great design!

So, i was just wondering whether there are any compatibility issues with non-Apple displays? and how do i go about setting it up? would it be just like in windows or similar? anyone who has done this before?

Thanks!

the only obstacle would be the minidisplay port to dvi or vga

on the older mb's there was no compatibility issues

Dell 2408WFP is what you want. Its a Samsung Manufactured panel and has one of the highest contrast ratios, highest color Gamuts, and Highest Brightness available. Great viewing angles as well. The Samsung 245t uses the same panel but apparantly has buzzing issues and less inputs. And if they evetually do comem out witha minidisplayport to displayport adpater, you'll get native signals to it since it has displayport as well as dvi.
