According to today's info, Snow Leopard will no longer run on PPC's.
Anyone know if that means that Rosetta will be going away as well?

Didn't see any mention of it anywhere. I think it was mentioned some time ago it would be an optional install, which makes sense.

Yeah, I was wondering to. A friend just pinged me asking if SL would run on his G5.

Pretty sure there was a spec there about it being intel only. Either it was said or it was on one of the many sites that showcased the Keynote.
SL requires an Intel machine.

Rosetta is an optional install.

The SL beta test just closed down, and the latest build required an Intel processor but Rosetta was an automatic install if needed (used to be an optional install).

So 10.5 is the end of the line for PowerPC... All (once) good things must come to an end...
