Whenever I end up buying a new macbook, (or macbook pro, I guess) how do you think today's updates will change my resale value?

Will it be much lower in the end because of the 2.0ghz processor, no backlit keys, etc. or will it be higher since they were only made for 8 months? Or, will it be pretty much the same?

Thoughts??

MacBook's got hit pretty hard - I don't think anyone was expecting such a fairly significant upgrade. As for the MacBook Pro users, that's still up in the air.

My advice: sell NOW before the majority of people realize our UMB's are "outdated". A few weeks from now is when the resale value will really be affected.

I'm selling mine to my friend as soon as the new 13" MBP gets in stock at my local Apple Store(they said hopefully by the end of the week."
