And order a 12" Combo Drive PB with an 80GB hard drive (I'll get Crucial RAM later), will I have to wait to get it? What will they do, order it from Apple as BTO? I don't think they'd have all those models there at the store (Each of the 5 models +a different one for each hard drive option and video option for the upper models.)

If you go to the store they will simply be the delivery point for your BTO.

Everyone one buys Crucial because it is...

1. Very good quality
2. Reasonable priced.
3. Guaranteed to work.
4. Great support/ customer service.

I like to feed my apple quality parts. So I bought crucial

everyone buys crucial because thats all other's recommend, their's isn't inherently better than kingston or anyone else. you can argue for your particular manufacturer all day, regardless, the BTO at Apple stores will be shipped from Apple UNLESS you upgrade the RAM only, which you don't want to do.

I think I'll go to the apple store anyway just so my mom can try them out, and see what she's getting.
