How can I move my iTunes library to an external hard drive?

How can I move my entire library to my external hard drive without having to "find" all my songs again?

Go to File>Library>Consolidate Library.

Then go into Preferences>Advanced and set the itunes folder location.

Go to Preferences-->Advanced, and change the iTunes folder location (make sure "keep iTunes Music folder organized" is checked

Then go to File-->Library-->Consolidate Library.

with that cnet link, will that process completely move your itunes music folder (thus removing all your music from your computer and putting it on your external drive) or will it copy your music?

what will going to file>library>export library do? is this the process for copying your music to a hard drive, or will that move your music?

I would like to change the location of my iTunes Library folder (not the iTunes Music Library folder, which I have already moved). Is that possible?
