View Full Version : HVDVD_TS/ .EVO files ---> Easiest way to get into editing friendly format?

I shot something awhile back for a TV company. After bugging them for a copy of the show for my reel they finally said they would send me a DVD.

It arrived but is in a format I'm completely unfamiliar with, the files are housed in a HVDVD_TS folder and looks like the media is on .EVO files. I've searched all over the web. It does appear to be the format for an HD DVD.

I need to include portions of it online as part of my reel. So I need an editing friendly codec to do *simple* cuts and an export to a smaller size. I've found nothing on the internet that says how I could do this. I read about a Quicktime plugin called EVOPlayer but it doesn't work (can't even launch it)

I'm working on a Dual 1.25 G4. My brand spanking new 17"MBP is in the mail--just ordered today.

Any advice? thanks

There might be some freeware untilities that can do this, but Cinematize works great. Try searching "DVD to Quicktime."
