Where Apple stands right now, they only have 1 consumer laptop, and that model is 3 years old, and for only 200 dollars more you get a lot more.
$799:
2.0 GHZ Core 2 Duo, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB Hard Drive, nVidia 9400M, SuperDrive, basically identical to the Mac Mini in specs.
$999:
2.13 GHZ Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, nVidia 9400M, SuperDrive basically identical to the current MacBook.
This would essentially fit perfectly into Apple's lineup, and might sway more college students that don't have much money to switch into Apple.
