Im not really sure how to explain it, but ive read that laptops can burn down, if you lay in your bed with having your laptop on a duvet, does this goes for macbooks too?

My MacBook will get itself and the bed REALLY hot if the back is smothered while it is running. But I doubt it's anywhere near fire starting temperature. But don't blame me if your casa burns down. :o

Probably not a good idea to run any laptop on a soft surface such as a duvet or cushion which will act as an insulator and also block air flow.

I use mine with it on my bed all the time and no problems. It doesn't get hot either.

Is a lap not a soft surface? Is it not a laptop?

No problems at all with using a laptop on a bed.

I try and use smccontrol but that does nothing it still gets super hot. I guess it helps a little though.
I wouldn't suggest putting it on your lap neither especially if you are not fully clothed it can leave a mark :o

There is a few burn marks from when i've been smoking, good job the actual duvet isnt flammable. :/
